Is Blogging Worth It?
This is a question I have asked myself. Tons of people ask this very question on a daily basis! Is blogging worth it?
Well to best answer that question you need to establish what you are hoping to seek from a blog;
Do you want to simply create content for the sake of creating? Or do you want to earn money?
If you are a passionate person who has a love for something in particular you can stand to be very successful with a blog.
Any blog has the potential to earn money and become successful over time, but it does come with a price. The price is hard work.
What Makes A Blog Successful?
Consistent content creation is the biggest piece of the puzzle. No one wants to wait weeks and weeks for new content, right?
Keep your audience entertained regularly and if possible create a schedule that works for you.
Whether it’s once a week, once a month, or 3 times a week is totally up to you, but remain consistent.
Be sure to promote your content in as many places as possible. The more you promote, the more places your content will be seen
Pay For Hosting (Thank Me Later)
If there is one thing I highly recommend to any blogger whether they are new or seasoned, you should really purchase webhosting.
Free websites can be easy to get started with but it is so important to have your own hosted domain for a variety of reasons.
Having a free website appears less professional, you have way less control over your website, and your money making advertisements are very limited.
I highly recommend purchasing a hosted website through Bluehost. It’s an investment that you won’t regret and not to mention you’ll plenty of support for your site plus more bandwidth.
Is Blogging Hard?
Ask me this question 3 years ago and I would tell you it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever tried to do.
If you were to ask me today I would say it’s challenging at times, but rewarding. That being said, it CAN be hard if you make it hard on yourself.
Running a blog properly requires a mindset that allows you to take it seriously.
The more you treat it like a real job the better your results are going to be.
Constantly putting pressure on yourself is a sure fire way to get burnt out. Try making a content calendar and schedule to abide by so you know what to expect.
Also make sure you find something to blog about that you feel a real connection with. That makes it so much easier in the long run.
Can I Get Rich Blogging?
I’m not going to sit here and say that you are going to get rich blogging. What I will tell you is that the amount of ways to earn with a blog are endless.
For that reason alone anything is possible. Would it be an instant overnight thing? No way. It takes a lot of work to get to that kind of level. Unless you are some viral overnight sensation.
The sky is the limit when it comes to blogging because your blog is your hub. You can use it to post sponsored content, market products, sell your own products, host ads, offer services, and so much more.
There is no shortage of ways to earn money, but you have to put in the work.
Some Say Blogging Doesn’t Work Anymore, Is That True?
Absolutely untrue!
Is it the most preferred way to make money online? Yes and no.
Blogging has been around for a long time and there are a ton of websites out there and a lot of competition for keywords.
Pretty much any topic you can think of has been covered.
But when you write a blog, it doesn’t matter if it has been done before. It’s your point of view that matters. A blog is designed so that you can offer your own spin on things.
Not to mention a lot of people start blogs and give up after only a short while. If you can remain consistent and stay in the game you have a much better chance of success.
Give yourself time, and focus on your content production. Blogging is worth it if you make it so.
I hope this post helps you decide whether or not blogging is worth it for you.
